Andrew’s debut feature White Elephant won him Best Writer and Best Director at the Reelworld Film Festival, and Best Feature Film at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. His short, Ma, won Best Short Film at the Reel Asian Film Festival. Both films, as well as his groundbreaking series, Millions, have been studied as part of the curricula of numerous arts and science courses at Toronto Metropolitan University, York University, and the University of British Columbia. His films have been broadcast on Air Canada, CBC, Hollywood Suite, Fuse and Super Channel. He is an alum of the BIPOC TV and Film Showrunner Bootcamp lead by Anthony Q. Farrell (The Office), the Sundance AsAm Creatives’ House sponsored by Gold House and CAPE, the VAFF Bell Media Series Development Program, and the Netflix-BANFF Diversity of Voices Initiative. He is also the Co-Founder of the Asian Canadian Film Alliance, an advocacy group dedicated to championing Asian Canadian voices in film, and is a Board Director of the Racial Equity Screen Office. White Elephant can be streamed on CBC Gem and Hollywood Suite in Canada, and Fuse in the U.S. He is currently in development, with funding from the CMF, on his TV series, Killer and Cadet.
