I’ve been swamped with multiple projects, so it’s been awhile, but I wanted to make a quick post that Lovebites will be premiering on television for the first time on CBC in Canada! It will be airing on the shorts program, Canadian Reflections, some time in the fall or winter. I’ll keep everyone posted when we receive exact times of air. This was a huge win for our team, and I can’t thank my amazing cast and crew enough for making a great film with me.
Happy New Year everyone! After making its screening premiere at the 2015 Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror Film Festival, we got the news that Lovebites is an Official Selection for CAAMFest 2016 (formerly the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival), the largest Asian American film festival in North America, happening from March 10th to 20th.
It will mark the first time I’ve had a film selected for the festival. I’m ecstatic about meeting my fellow Asian American filmmakers from all over the continent and showing them our little baby. Stay tuned to the CAAMFest website for updates on the screening schedule and the specific screening time for Lovebites. Here’s to a successful 2016!
Upon the completion of my latest short film, Lovebites, we introduced the film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. We had a blast out there, as it was our first Cannes experience. We met a ton of distributors, and film festival programmers with the potential of exciting things to come. We even managed to get on the red carpet! So to coincide with the film’s introduction, we released the official trailer for the film and launched the official website. Please take a moment to check it out, if you have the chance. I’ve updated my portfolio here with a link to the trailer as well. Hopefully I’ll be back with a few festival screening announcements for the film in the near future.
Outside of that, I’m currently working on a music video with an exciting new upcoming EDM artist, and in post-production for my first reality show pilot. It’s a cooking competition program with a unique twist. I’ll be back soon with more details.
And lastly, we’ve officially launched the website for Jaded Pictures, the banner under which my sister, Melanie, and I (and other regular team members) release all our originally produced film projects. Take a look at the site to get to know us better!
